DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN SAIGON
Pick up at the airport, transfer to hotel, free time.
night in Saigon
DAY 2: CU CHI – MY THO [B/L]
You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network used during the Vietnam War, located just outside Ho Chi Minh City. After exploring this historic site, continue your journey to My Tho, approximately 75 km away—a 1.5-hour drive via the South’s first expressway. The route offers a scenic view of Vietnam’s southern countryside, passing lush rice paddies, orchards, and quaint villages.
Upon arrival in My Tho, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before embarking on a motorboat cruise along the Mekong River, the longest river in Southeast Asia, stretching across six countries. While cruising, sip on fresh coconut juice as you head toward Unicorn Island, where you’ll sample natural honey, bee pollen, and royal jelly. The next stop is Ben Tre, famous for its traditional coconut candy production.
Take a walk through the peaceful village, then hop on a local "xe lam" (motorized cart) for a short ride through the area. At a tropical garden, enjoy seasonal fruits like pineapple, watermelon, longan, and royal bananas while listening to traditional "Cai Luong" folk music.
The journey continues with a hand-rowed sampan ride along narrow canals lined with water coconut palms, offering a glimpse into the serene, everyday life of locals. Return to the harbor, where you’ll be picked up and transferred back to Ho Chi Minh City for an overnight stay.
DAY 3: CITY TOUR – DEPARTURE [B]
At around 8:00 AM, our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to begin your city exploration. Your first stop is the Notre-Dame Cathedral, constructed by the French between 1877 and 1883, using materials imported from Marseille. Just nearby is the Central Post Office, a stunning example of colonial architecture, designed by Gustave Eiffel and completed in 1891.
Next, you will visit the Reunification Palace, originally known as Norodom Palace, built in 1868 and inaugurated in 1873. Heavily damaged during a bombing in 1963, it later became a significant historical landmark when liberation forces entered the building on April 30, 1975, marking the end of the Vietnam War. Following this visit, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. End of tour.
