DAY 1: HALF-DAY BAT TRANG - DEPART AT HANOI
In the morning around 8:00 a.m. or in the afternoon around 1:00 p.m., the guide and driver will meet you at your hotel in central Hanoi and then head to Bat Trang village. Upon arrival, we’ll take a leisurely walk through the village, watching artisans skillfully create and decorate their products — from shaping to painting and glazing — before they are baked for several days in large kilns. After learning about the pottery-making process, you’ll be given clay and tools to make your own ceramic piece.
Next, we will visit the Bat Trang Museum (also known as the Center for Vietnamese Craft and Culture), an architectural highlight inspired by ceramic kilns. Here, you’ll explore exhibitions showcasing centuries of ceramic heritage, admire unique collections, and gain a deeper understanding of the village's cultural legacy. The museum also features creative spaces and photo-worthy corners for a memorable experience.
On the return trip to Hanoi, we can stop at some ceramic shops along the road in the village, where you can browse or purchase colorful, high-quality ceramic items.
